How to clean dirt and salt from ugg boots

The famous UGG brand shoes are comfortable and stylish boots for dry winter days. Classic ugg boots are made from natural sheepskin, which requires delicate, regular care. Improper cleaning will damage the structure of this material.

Real sheep wool boots, with proper care, will last for more than one season. To properly clean ugg boots from dirt and salt, take into account the material of the product, its color and the presence of finishing.

Preparation for cleansing takes place in 2 stages:

1. Ugg boots are dried naturally at room temperature before cleaning. Do not use hair dryer, heater or batteries. The material of the boots is sensitive to high temperatures - the aggressive effect of heat leads to deformation of the shoe and the appearance of creases.
2. Remove dirt and dust from the product using a dry method.

Dry method

Cleansing dirt and dust is a preparatory step for removing stains and a regular shoe care routine.

Dry cleaning tools: soft brush for suede, velor, nubuck, stationery eraser, bread crumb.

1. Soft brush... In order not to disturb the structure of the material, the movements are performed in one direction - from top to bottom. Dust is removed from the product with a brush, dried dirt is removed with a knife. Natural sheepskin should not be rubbed strongly.
2. Stationery eraser... The special brush is replaced by a soft eraser. A hard eraser is not suitable for cleaning - it leaves dirty marks on the material. The remaining crumbs are removed with a soft cloth or vacuum cleaner at minimum power.
3. Bread crumb... Used for light contamination. Shoes are wiped with rye bread crumb (light fabrics are cleaned with white bread), the crumbs are removed with a rag.

Dirt on the outside of the fur is combed out with a sparse-toothed comb. The boot is held with the sole up.

Removing stubborn stains

Dirt and dust on contact with water create streaks, so stains on the ugg boots are removed after dry cleaning. 3. Oil stains are removed with talc, starch and chalk. Apply the substance to the material, remove after 6 hours with a soft brush.

Recipes for light products:

1. Add half a tablespoon of baking soda to half a cup of skim milk. Apply the mixture with a soft sponge to the material. Remove the rest of the solution with a damp cloth or sponge.
2. Add 20 drops of hydrogen peroxide to half a glass of skim milk, apply the solution to the contaminated areas. Wipe the material with a damp sponge.

Ugg boots with patches, rhinestones and other trimmings require careful cleaning. The details of the product are washed with a damp soft sponge or cloth.

White stains from salt
