Partial washing

Partial damp cleaning of the down jacket is preferable to full cleaning, as washing away individual stains without washing will help the fill to stay dry. It is used if there are local dirt on the jacket or only the collar, placket and cuffs are dirty. To do this, you need a stain remover, a sponge and clean water.

The down jacket is hung over the bathtub or laid out on a horizontal surface, then a cleaning agent is applied. The foam and the remains of the solution are washed off with a damp sponge. After that, the jacket is hung on a hanger and placed in a warm, ventilated place to dry.

Advice! Always check the color fastness of the fabric to the stain remover before cleaning. This precaution will help prevent fading and deterioration of the product.

Complete cleaning

You can completely refresh the surface of your jacket without washing with a special dry cleaning kit. The kit includes:

  • bag;

Before you clean the down jacket in this way, prepare it. They unfasten the collar and other fur details, take everything out of the pockets, and fasten the zipper. If there are stains, they are treated with a stain remover. Then the jacket is put into a bag. You also need to put napkins there. After that, the bag is placed in the drum of the washing machine and the delicate drying mode is started for 30 minutes.

During the operation of the machine, vapors of the cleaning agent are released from the napkin, which gently remove dirt and refresh the surface of the cloth. At the end of the cycle, the wet jacket is removed from the bag and hung to dry.
